Process to Apply

Examination

The items for the examination are derived from the Readings List, a compilation of recommended books and journal articles. 

This list and some of the individual readings are very large files in PDF* format and may take several minutes to download on dialup links.

* Adobe Reader or the older Acrobat Reader versions should be able to display this file.

The exam has 100 questions that cover these topics :

• Editing
• Raw EEG – 13 items
• Drug Effects - 5 items
• Database Analysis – 23 items
• Referral to Other Professionals – 3 items
• Clinical, Cognitive, Spectral Analysis – 45 items
• Neuroanatomical – Neurophysiological - 2 items
• Clinical – Cognitive – 16 items
• Spectral – Topographic – 21 items

A particular item may have several questions embedded in it. 

The fee for the examinations is $150.
The second and third administration of the exam is $75.
The exam can only be taken three times.

QEEG exam is generally administered at yearly ISNR meetings but special arrangements can be made for other times. It is preferred that a current Diplomate administer the test, but this is not required.
